Bank of England predicts rebound in the economy

"The Bank of England said Britain's economy would grow by the most since World War Two this year and slowed the pace of its trillion dollar bond-purchasing programme, but stressed it was not reversing its stimulus."

Strong indications finally of a bounce back in the economy highlight the devastating effect of ignoring the COVID-19 pandemic and not acting early enough or in a way that supported those who tested positive.

Hopefully those involved in future pandemic planning in the UK will not repeat the mistakes made in our response to this one.

The UK's record sadly has seen the worst of both worlds - high death rates and a devastated economy.
