Emily Tiddy nee James. The photos in this collection feature the family of Richard Tiddy and Emily nee James (daughter of James Roberts James, who lived at 'Woodbine Villa' and ran the mail coaches & a carrier service). Richard was born in Bissoe but all the rest were born in Grampound. Richard was Clerk of Works at one point and also worked as Maintenance Foreman for the Hawkin & Johnstone families at Trewithan. He remade the dock gates at Pentewan for the Johnstone family. He was also a Local Preacher for the Wesleyan Methodist St Austell circuit. George James features in a group with Richard & his sons. He was the son of Emily's brother Richard whose second wife was Caroline Croggan. George was brought up by Emily & her mother because of TB in the family. He used to drive Richard Tiddy to his preaching appointments in a pony & trap. The Tiddy and James family graves are back-to-back just inside the gate at Creed on the right.
